FEMME FATALE - SAMANTHA JONES

Electric new Build-up: blusher and highlighter slicked on a whole new way. The revolutionary glow-how: fast swipe with a swivel-stick that looks like a theatrical grease stick but is light years ahead of that old magic wand.  Revlon's Face Gleamer packs luminescence. Three shades for blushing or contouring, plus one transparent "shade" for pure glow. Lipstick: Revlon's golden-tawny Pumpkinpeel. Dynel and diamante headdress by Ara.

FEMME FATALE - CRISTINA VETTORE AUSTIN FORD

The Eclectic Beauty

The great beauties of today conform to no national image.
Their blood springs from many lands and origins.
Their physiognomies and contours are not the expression
of one cultured ideal, but of many.
Their beauty transcends locality, recognizes no frontiers.

True beauty never resides merely in the separate
perfections of body and face: inevitably,
it is fused by a vital sense of identity, concentrated
at the center of being.  All great beauties know themselves.

FEMME FATALE - 1957

"The girl with the sunny golden complexion might be just back from a month on the California coast. But not neccessarily. The fact is, she's using a sunny new make-up: '"Sheer Gold,"'  designed by Elizabeth Arden to glow against the new pale wools of a city spring."

Sheer Gold Pat-a-Creme make-up base.  Rouge and lipstick are a clear golden rose.  Powder, Invisible Veil 5 1/2.  Sheer  Gold eye shadow.  Brown mascara with "Light Brown eyebrow pencil above.

More on a golden theme. Dovima wears a gilt necklace by Frederick Mossell, know for his Egyptian revival pieces. The two piece cotton jersey swimsuit is designed by Givenchy for Jantzen. Her lipstick, "Frankly Red" by Barbara Gould.

FEMME FATALE - REFLECTIONS IN A SILVER EYE

The cool, calm chic of the Silver-Seasoned Eye.

The basic ingredient: Silver Smoke Eye shadow by Helena Rubinstein
The finishing touches, Long-Lash mascara and a thin line of soft Eyeliner.
The final touch: Conceal; erases sahdows underneath the eye as surely as a good night's sleep.
