The New Art of Painting Your Lips and Nails

It involves new techniques, new tools, new colors. It was created by an "old master" named Juliette Marglen, of the fingernail school of painting.  You paint a beautiful mouth (natural or surreal) with a new deftness and control, because you use a new-principled oval lipstick, designed to follow every plane and contour.  You work from an inspired palette of avant-garde shades.

New Faces: Spring ,'57

A make-up wit the incandescence that comes of contrast - bright red lips and deep smoky hair, framed by skin as pale as alabaster. DuBarry leaves the skin innocent of rouge and adds "Light Up Red" lipstick

Charles of the Ritz views today's beauty poetically, shades the hair, pales the mouth and emphasizes the  eyes. The Eyeshadow is "China Blue."  The all-important eyes: "Dark Brown" eye pencil is drawn in two lines - one at the upper lid, another extending the lower lashes. The lipstick, "Perfect Bright Pink."
